As some of you may be experiencing right now over the years carpeting tends to stretch and loosen causing rippling. Rippling can become a big problem down the road not only for tripping over but for us carpet cleaners to deal with. There are a couple things that can happen including getting caught in our powerful vacuum suction.
Another thing that may happen is you may develop a hole in that spot over time due to the padding being bent which in turn weakens it.
Thirdly when we clean your carpets we are going to try to avoid that spot because it makes it much easier to over saturate the carpet through the backing when it up like that because our vacuum doesn’t keep an even suction. If its not severe there will be no issues with us cleaning your carpets, but if it is severe I would suggest having your carpet stretched before you have us in to clean.
