Do carpets make allergies worse?

Many people would think that having carpeting in your house would increase allergies due to all of the things that get caught it in. Things ranging from pollen, dirt, and anything else you can think of. This actually isn’t true. If you think about hardwood floors and stone floors you know that every time you go over them with a dust cloth you find something on it. Now I want you to think about every time you open and close a door or when you are just walking around the house. This will take all of those dust particles and swoosh them up into the air going into you respiratory system, and causing you to sneeze, or for others have trouble breathing, or worse. Carpeting actually works as a filter to trap all of these things and as long as you get your carpets cleaned once a year those things won’t build up to the point where they will be released into the air and henceforth into your loved ones.
