There are many different types of home carpet cleaners out there. There prices range from $100.00 a piece and up. Many people have been turning to them with the economy being the way it is to try to save some money and do it themselves. They have no idea what effect this will have on their carpets. When you use these machines there are many things that can go wrong.
A lot of people are doing it themselves and moving their furniture around while they are doing it and realize once the carpets have dried that there are rust and wood bleed stains on the carpet. The wood bleed is a permanent brown mark that will never come out of your carpet. They are also realizing while using these machines that their carpets take a lot longer to dry then they would if you have our power take off direct drive carpet cleaning system do it which has vacuum power created by a blower that is running off of our engine. Not only are these people realizing the carpets are a lot wetter, but they are also running into mold and mildew problems because unlike professionals most people will go after a stain until they realize they cant get it out and by this point the water/detergent solution has already penetrated the padding in the carpet hitting the underlying wood. People are pumping their carpets full of this detergent which is not getting sucked back out the way it should be. This creates a bunch of problems for your carpets. The leftover detergent residue not only will attract dirt much faster to your carpets, but will also clog our machine up with soap when we come and do your carpets the way they should be done. Sometimes the soap will build up so much in our machine that it will shut our truck down. You DON’T want this to happen. This will mean when we come in and you pay us the amount to do a job our truck will not be able to work at full suction power due to the soap build up in our vacuum hoses. The best thing to do is just have us come in once a year and keep up on your carpets. Its less strain on you, not much more money then you would pay to rent a machine, and solution.
