Im thinking about switching to wood floor but I am not sure. Can you help?

  • Over the past couple years we have had many of our customers decide to switch to hard wood floors because they believed it would be less maintenance, and would improve the overall look of their house.
  • Responses from them have varied.  Not to steer anyone away from the hardwood, but most of our customers switched back to carpet after a few years, or once they got older.  Almost all of them complained of how cold the floor was in the mornings, and how noisy it was when they got out of bed, or were trying to go to bed after family members had fallen asleep.
  • Also they complained of the color tone difference when they placed an area rug on the wood for a while, and warping of the wooden planes when young ones spilt drinks, or other things that went unheard.
  • In the long run they ended up spending much more money to get it refurbished then they would have for carpet cleaning, went back to carpet, and were very pleased.
  • They also complained that their heating bills went up in the winter because socks or no socks the floor was always cold.
