Many people out there like to enjoy a glass of red wine or two with dinner. Sometimes the inevitable will happen and there will be some red wine spilled on your white table cloth, carpeting, or upholstery. The key is to stay calm and react as fast as possible.
- First, grab a dry rag or paper towels and blot as much as possible.
- Next, put some club soda on the spot. Blot.
- Lay down a generous amount of baking soda for a couple of hours.
- After, vacuum the baking soda – hopefully when this is cleaned up you’ll see no more stain.
- Repeat the process without baking soda if not.
- Lay down a stack of paper towels over the damp spot. Take a heavy object and let sit overnight.
