There’s a misconception out amongst consumers in today’s world that if you have tile in your household it will clean like new after not having it professionally cleaned for 20 years. This is extremely wrong.
Tile needs as much care and concern as carpeting. Yes it may be easier to clean up a spill or something of that nature because you can use a paper towel, or a rag of some sort, but tile still gets soiled and worn down after thousands of times of being stepped on. Tile also develops dark grout lines.
When you see this starting to happen you are in need of getting them cleaned. If this soil is allowed to sit in your grout lines too long it will become permanent and nothing will be able to be done to it. We use a machine to clean it with an extremely hot water/detergent solution shot out at an extremely high pressure to agitate and break up the dirt particles. We also use a grout brush to get your lines as clean as possible. If kept up on tile and grout lines can stay looking almost new for a long time, but as stated before neglecting them can cause you to have to spend hundreds to thousands of dollars replacing them.
